Do You Want To Know Why You Don't Feel Motivated?

What is Motivation?

It's a question we all want answering.

What is motivation? How do we get more of it? Why aren't I feeling it?

Maybe you are feeling stuck and stagnant without it.


Why do you want motivation?

I mean, who doesn't want more of it, right? With motivation comes this assumption that we will get more done. We'll achieve more of our goals if we're motivated.

It would be amazing, if we could order some more motivation on Amazon Prime.


Is Motivation an Emotion?

This was a belief I held for a while.

That motivation ebbs and flows with your energy and your moods.

Sometimes it's high and sometimes it's low.

However, my feelings around this have changed as I don't think there needs to be something which 'measures' how much you have.


Here's some top tips for 'finding' more Motivation!

The first tip is to openly admit to yourself whether you are really WILLING to change in order to go after your goal.

"Everyone wants change, but not everyone is willing to change"

It might sound harsh, but it's fact. You can only place responsibility at the door for MOTIVATION for so long and then you have to admit that it's you.

My second tip is that the key to motivation lies in VARIATION.


By variation, I mean you need more spice! Here's my example:

I know working out is key to my physical and mental health but the reason I find such motivation to keep working out is because:

I have variety in my routines!

I don't just go to the gym, I do yoga, I run, I swim, I love walking. By having this mix of exercises, it allows me the freedom to have fun.

I see most people set goals to move their body more and they instantly go to the gym. That's great, if you enjoy the gym. If you don't, find something you DO enjoy.

Then, mix it up!

Find 2-3 exercises you enjoy and vary between them. You may just find, motivation stays around for longer.
